COVID-19 Safety Protocols - Green Phase

  • All individuals should measure their body temperature to ensure that no fever is present prior to participating or attending all Little League activities.
  • A Parent or Guardian is required to check their child’s body temperature to ensure no fever is present prior to all Little League activities.
  • Anyone with symptoms of fever, cough, or worsening respiratory symptoms, or any known exposure to a person with COVID-19 should not attend any Little League activity until cleared by a medical professional.
  • Please observe social distancing guidelines and maintain at least a 6-foot distance from others when attending a game or practice at the Little League facility.
  • The Neshaminy Wildcats may designate specific areas only for players and coaches during games and practices, and specific areas for spectators to sit during games and practices.
  • Coaches will wear face masks during practices and games.
  • Players are not required to wear a cloth face covering while on the field during game play.
  • Players will be permitted to wear a cloth face covering on the field during game play, or in their assigned spots while waiting their turn to bat, if physically able to do so, based on any directive of a medical provider or individual determination of the player/ parent/guardian/caretaker.
  • Use of Dug-outs will be limited to 1-2 coaches and 1 player, at Coaches discretion.For example, the on-deck batter or next pitcher coming into game may temporarily occupy the dugout and maintain 6-foot distance from others.
  • No personal player bat bags/equipment bags should be allowed in the dugout. Player equipment should be spaced 6 feet apart outside the dugout on a fence to prevent direct contact.
  • Players will be assigned spots behind a fence so that they are at least six feet apart.
  • Players are to stay at their assigned spots when on the bench or while waiting their turn to bat.
  • Players should have their own individual batter’s helmet, glove and bat.
  • Social distancing will be upheld at all times. There will be no physical contact between players and coaches. This includes high – fives, handshakes and fist bumps.
  • Teams should not share any drinks, snacks or food. Players should bring individual, pre-packaged food, if needed.
  • Players, coaches and umpires should bring their own personal drinks to all team activities. Drinks should be labeled with the person’s name.
  • Players are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer for personal use.
  • Parents will be encouraged to sanitize their players equipment after practices and games.
  • Access to public restrooms will be limited to a “one-in-one-out” policy, where only one individual is permitted within the restroom at one time.This policy will be implemented to ensure adequate distancing in the confined restroom space.
  • Coaches will educate parents and players on the safety precautions set by NWAA and Penndel Borough to minimize the risk of COVID-19.
  • Should any member of a team test positive for COVID – 19, all activities will be suspended.The facility and all equipment will be thoroughly cleaned, and Penndel Borough will be notified.
  • Penndel Rec Center is a tobacco free complex; we will also ban the use of chewing gum and sunflower seeds as well.
